Here’s a fact about motivation…it’s usually temporary. Let’s be honest, how many times have we made plans to do something-an exercise routine, to eat a certain meal, to take a walk instead of watching television (eating some yummy popcorn)? Several times! Yes, we may do these things sometimes, for a while, but then…the excitement fades. We must work at having permanent motivation. A healthy lifestyle (proper nutrition AND exercise) should be an everyday thing, not just here and there; not just do it for a year and then ‘drop back’ into…your ‘old’ lifestyle. This requires strength (especially mental strength) and a good personal trainer like myself.
