Exercise is essential, whether using your own body weight or stepping it up a bit by using more resistance, so to speak. I'm referring to the use of weights/dumbbells.

 

Once your doctor approves weight lifting for you, there is no need to delay. Weight lifting:

• Improves bone density

• Fights fat; (How? Lean muscle mass decreases with age, if you don't add strength training to your routine then 'fat happens').

• Lowers the risk of diabetes

• Improves heart health

• Helps to prevent/reduce back pain
• Improves balance

 

Instead of remaining the same, why not try to improve?

"Thanks for the inspiration! I have now incorporated the "10's" into my nightly routine. 10 reps of dumbbell exercises, 10 leg lifts, 10 sit ups and holding a plank for 10 seconds longer!" (8/11/19)
